I first would like to start out with the bad news. Growth and height expert Dr. Darwin Smith reports that growth plate fusion occurs around the ages of 18 – 21 for boys and 16 – 18 for girls. This means that your bones have stopped growing. Now I know that there are many natural and pharmaceutical products out there claiming a restart of bone growth. I want you to know none of it has been scientifically proven. Do not waste you money on these products. They are all scams.

Be wary of exercise programs that promote an increase in height. Any program that promotes the lengthening of bones is most likely a scam and will leave you disappointed. The only exercises that will lead to an increase in height are the ones that promote spinal decompression.

Now before you get discourage I want you to know that with the proper spinal decompression exercises, the correction muscular imbalances that stabilize the spine along with proper posture, you can gain anywhere from 2 to 6 inches in your height.

Your spine also has protective fluid between each vertebrate. What happens over many years of incorrect posture, the protected fluids is compressed. How common is it for males to grow taller past the age of 18?

I’m turning 18 and i am 5′6. I am the same height as my father and mother is a bit shorter. A problem is that i haven’t grown a bit since i was thirteen. However, i do have a cracking sound in my knee whenever i bend it which will cause me to grow taller fast. I had that checked two and a half years ago and i haven’t grown a bit since. I would like to know what kind of advice you can give me that would help me grow. Tell me the age when you stopped growing.

It is possible that you  son will still increase his height.  Men stop growing between ages of 18 and 21.  As you can see he may have another 3 years left of growing.

Now in saying that he should be doing some things to make sure that he is getting the most out of this time.  This includes nutrition and exercise that stimulates growth hormones.

If he is done growing there is no exercises or hormone that will make your bones grow longer.  There is however exercises that will improve your posture and decompress the spine.  This alone can add a couple of inches to your height.

I am determined to get to 6 feet tall at the end of my growth. Right now I am 5″8.5″ at 15 yrs and 10 months Do you know of any ways to help me grow taller? (exercises, stretches, nutrition) anything you know throw it out there because I still have 3.5 inches to grow.

Practice total relaxation and deep breathing for a few minutes before you go to bed.
Relax from head to toe. Close your eyes and relax every part of your body.
Maintain a habit of sleeping at the same time everyday, including weekends.
Sleep on your back with a flat pillow under your knees. This will align your spine properly and prevent any back aches caused by sleeping in a bent position.

Undoubtedly, the quality, quantity, and type of food we eat affect our height, growth, and health. We cannot emphasize enough how important your food intake is in determining how much growth you can possibly obtain. The types of food you eat will either improve or decrease your growth potential.
After careful consideration and research, the daily content of protein, carbohydrates, fats and water can be achieved if the following items were taken regularly.

Carrots Fish Liver
Egg Yolk Beef Red Meat
Milk Cheese Apples
Green Vegetables Potatoes Nuts
Yellow Vegetables Almonds Bananas
Peanuts Chicken Beans
Peas Salt 6-8 glasses of water per day

If you eat a lot of peanut butter, your height will not necessarily stop. Neither does masturbation stop height.
What might stop you from growing is smoking, drugs, alcohol, lack of sleep, stress, digestive problems, or lack of exercise.
